Fostering resilience in body, mind, and spirit


For years, I have suffered from chronic back pain due to a history of severe scoliosis. Yoga has allowed me to manage pain and has taught me how to change my relationship with pain and anxiety.

In 2009, I enrolled in yoga teacher training to learn how to heal myself. I didn't want to undergo complete spinal fusion (still the only surgical option for treating scoliosis). I needed some simple and effective ways to help myself. At the time, I had a stressful job, two small children, daily pain, and no time to "deal with it" (or so I thought!). Soon after beginning my training, I experienced the incredible benefits of my yoga practice. That experience awakened my passion for teaching and guiding others toward better health. After more than 25 years as a business consultant, I chose to pursue a career in Yoga Therapy.
